Although I am clearly not an Obama supporter, I confess that there were times before Election Day that I seriously considered voting for him. My one reason was this: fear of the hatred and insanity that would ensue if the Angry Left were denied their choice for President, again. I was honestly afraid of what would happen to our country if the unhinged liberals lost. So much so, that I nearly voted for him in an effort to prevent the nasty and likely violent fallout.
So, in one sense, I thank God that Obama did win. At least now we don’t have to worry about vicious, nasty attacks from the Left because they won. Right?
They told us if Barack Obama were elected, the nation would come together. Souls would be fixed. Spirits would be healed. Public discourse would be elevated.
…But in the age of Obama, there’s no room for such nuance and inconvenient truths. A decent young woman is a “dumb b*tch” for holding the same view of marriage as the Obamessiah. A conservative campus speaker is bullied as a hatemonger by wild-eyed hatemongers. A grass-roots movement is debased as a bunch of racist vulgarians by a media mob of racists and vulgarians. Civility and tolerance have taken a left-hand turn down a one-way street. So much for changing course.

Glad to see you started this blog to do your part of bringing the country together!
Thank you!
you provide postings from reputable and non-partisan sources that don’t look anything like sour grapes.
Thanks too for recognizing that the angry bitter left had to win this election–or else what would have happened.
Whew! Glad we won! I remember the shouts from the angry crowds at McCain/Palin events directing people to inflict injury and death on the liberal left’s candidate! How did those angry lefties ever make it into a Palin event?
How did Perez Hilton ever end up judging Miss. America, in the first place?!?! He has done the fight for equal rights a great disservice and is the kind of fanatic that the media loves to focus on.
On the other hand, he is asking for the legal right to be looked upon as an equal and for that he certainly has a right. Equality, pursuit of happiness and liberty are all rights bestowed upon Americans by that wonderful Constitution.
I am sorry you consider me a racist vulgarian for not buying into this hysterical tea bagging stuff and hope you find healing in your heart from the loss of the last election.
On the other hand, you may want to start prepping now, because with the Republican right constantly apologizing to Rush, there are going to be a LOT more lost elections to come.

Well that comment has an air of nastiness to it. As for your filthy gutter talk, I think you should apologize immediately. You act like you have a right to subject others to your coarse and indecent language. Then you lecture us about rights. Until you learn to respect others I have no more use for your opinions on anything. You are a shallow, self-righteous dispenser of abuse. Why ever would I listen to what you have to say about how to treat one’s fellow man when you enjoy abusing your fellows? Maybe you should turn off your incredibly over developed ability to find fault in everyone but yourself until you turn yourself into something decent. Get a clue.

Humph, filthy gutter talk?
What on earth offended you in the earlier posting Snaggie?
Do tell, I am dying to find out what makes me a shallow, self-righteous dispenser of abuse.
Please enlighten me with what you found to be so offensive.
