Sign Says White Male Construction Workers Need Not Apply

Apparently, even in this golden era of post-racialism, white still isn’t right.  Robert Reich, Clintonite retread advisor to the Obama administration, had no qualms whatsoever about requesting that there be criteria in place to limit the employment of experienced, white male construction workers in the coming Obama stimulus plan (ARRP.)

Can you imagine the reaction if Reich had said this:

I am concerned, as I’m sure many of you are, that these jobs not simply go to high-skilled people who are already professionals or to white Hispanic male construction workers.  … I have nothing against white Hispanic male construction workers.  I’m just saying that there are a lot of other people who have needs as well. … Criteria can be set so that the money does go to others, the long term unemployed minorities blacks, women, people who are not necessarily construction workers or high-skilled professionals.

Yes, we have reached a new era, but it is not one of post-racial harmony.  It is now politically acceptable, en vogue even, to openly discriminate against white males, especially those who are skilled professionals.  

House Ways and Means committee chairman, Charlie “How The Heck Did I Get This Job?” Rangel (NY-D) is completely on board with the discrimination criteria idea, proposing that formulas be mandated to make sure that poor neighborhoods are the focus of government funds.

Wealth redistribution warning: Reich and Rangel, powerful men with great influence over policy, are proposing that money from every tax payer must be allocated to minority residents of poor neighborhoods.
