The Guardian: Obama To Have Secret Talks With Hamas?

The Guardian has spoken to three people with knowledge of the discussions in the Obama camp.

There is no talk of Obama approving direct diplomatic negotiations with Hamas early on in his administration, but he is being urged by advisers to initiate low-level or clandestine approaches, and there is growing recognition in Washington that the policy of ostracising Hamas is counter-productive.

  • Wow, crazy. Obama’s AG appointee doesn’t make me feel all too safe either. Then again, neither does his appointed CIA director. Most of his other people you don’t really have to worry about…as long as you’ve already been born.

I’ve just started a new blog that will be highlighting the dangers of the secular progressive movement (pro-gay “rights”, pro-abortion, anti-religious freedoms, etc). Unfortunately, most Christians still don’t know what’s going on out there and the mainstream media certainly isn’t covering it.

We’re looking to build a solid group of social conservatives who’ll frequent our site regularly and contribute to some good discussions. I hope you’ll check us out!

If you’ll add us to your blogroll we’ll gladly add you to ours. Just drop us a comment over at our blog so that we’ll know to add you. Our blog is called Religion and Morality.

    Thanks!

  • Unfortunately, since Obama has no foreign experience, we are facing a steep learning curve. And most early learning comes from mistakes. These snakes in Hamas saw Barry coming and can hardly wait for him to be in charge.

  • Steep learning curve, indeed. Just what we need in the Oval office when we are fighting wars on two fronts and are engaged in counter-terrorism globally. No surprise that Hamas endorsed Senator Hopenchange.
