The race card has been played and the Senate is scrambling to mount their defense. Yesterday, Senate Majority Leader Democrat Harry Reid said that the decision fell to the Senate and they would not allow Roland Burris to take his seat. Earlier today, Senator Reid and Democrat Senator Dick Durbin claimed that the Senate has no say in the matter. Could this turnaround have something to do with the photos of the Congressional White Men’s club booting Roland Burris and his black legal team out into the rain?
This Flip Flop in the making:
White’s signature is an unnecessary formality. The Senators are going to fold their lousy hand by the end of the week, if not the end of the day. They have been masterfully outplayed by Blagojevich and Burris. The Illinois governor and newly minted senator have exposed Senate buffoonery on a grand scale.
Where is the Lightworker? He could have saved the Senate by throwing the weight of his approval behind them. I’m guessing Senators made to look like fools have long memories. Bad news for the Bearer of Hope and Change.
