Sources tell ABC News that officials on the Obama Transition Team feel that before he was formally offered the job of commerce secretary, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson was not forthcoming with them about the federal investigation that is looking into whether the governor steered a state contract towards a major financial contributor.
Once the investigation became more widely known through national media reports last month, sources tell ABC News, the Obama Transition Team realized the FBI would not be able to give Richardson a clean political bill of health before the new administration is ready to send his nomination up to the Senate for confirmation.
This doesn’t inspire much confidence in the Obama Administration. They can’t detect duplicity or uncover scandal within the ranks of their own supporters and Cabinet contenders, people who are sympathetic to their agenda and ideology. How in the world will these babes in the wood be able to negotiate with world powers who have no sympathy for the Obama administration or the US at large?
Bill Richardson, having been publicly branded a liar by Team O, must be rethinking his campaign betrayal of the Clintons. Look who’s in the cabinet and who’s under the bus. Ironic.

Typical of the liberals, all they can do is point fingers, even at each o9ther. The empty suit, Obama has time and time again showed a lack of judgement which is is so crucial to the job he was inserted into by the media.
From his past associations to the current Ill Gov fiasco this zero is a looming disaster for the nation.

I’m curious to see if they go after Richardson with the amount of zeal they’re going after Blago. When does his impeachment hearing start??

My guess is that Richardson will get a pass, at least by comparison to what Blagojevich is (rightly) going through. Richardson has been the poster child for converts to the Obama religion ever since he gave the Clintons his notice on the campaign trail. Team O had no problem calling him a liar, but I doubt they will want him dragged through the mud because he has been a closer political ally than Blago ever was and he delivered very important votes for Obama.
I predict he doesn’t get impeached.
