Iraqi Ambassador Rebukes Code Pink Fruits In Washington

Code Pink protesters displayed signs with shoe prints that read “Set Him Free” during a presentation in Washington on Tuesday with Iraqi Ambassador Samir Sumaidaie.  Sitting righteously with their pink placards held aloft, they were stony faced while Mr. Sumaida’ie gave them a well deserved dressing down for their immature and ignorant display.  Likelihood that his respectful and reasoned rebuke fell on listening ears?  Nil.

Mr. Sumaida’ie speaks eloquently of ”fruits of freedom.”  In America, this is what we call “fruits of freedom”:

In Berkeley, Code Pink will hold a march at a Marine recruiting station on 12/17 to show their solidarity with the journalist who assaulted Bush.

The media outnumbered the protesters 3-1.

  • I was wondering what they would do since they don’t have President Bush to rally against anymore. Ambassador Sumaidaie pointed out their ignorance but, as you so aptly stated, his words fell on deaf ears. Why don’t they go over there and protest? Or go to Iran? They need to see just what freedom of speech means.

  • They’re not the sharpest knives in the drawer, but I think they do have enough sense to realize that their antics would get them killed in the Middle East. Better to stay home and act like a bunch of idiots where protesting the people who keep you free won’t result in parts of your body being forcibly and painfully removed, or worse.
Still, it would be nice to see them off on the next one-way flight to Baghdad…

  • Some of them went to Pakistan a few months ago and did not like the treatment they were given. However, they still hate the USA more!
