We’ll find out how appropriate the contacts between Blagojevich and Obama’s staff were when the internal investigation is released and the rest of the wire-tap evidence is revealed.
What matters more though is the fortress-like defense that was thrown up around the President-elect when this scandal broke. Obama promised transparency and accountability. What we have seen so far is the spectacle of Obama’s staff circling up the wagons to protect his interests and image while the Lightworker sits safely in the center, planning how to answer the inevitable questions that will follow. The public, promised more, deserves better than orchestrated and rehearsed statements. We deserve candor and full disclosure from the One who promised a departure from politics as usual.
Already, Obama and his inner circle have been implicated in two state Governor investigations (Blagojevich and Richardson) and he hasn’t even taken the Oath of Office yet. Maybe this is the departure from politics as usual that he promised!
