An unbelievable display of courage and love.
LA Times -
One day after an F/A-18D Hornet fighter jet fell from the sky and crashed into his two-story house in San Diego’s University City neighborhood, Dong Yun Yoon returned to a home and life in ruins.
Rescue workers sifting through the debris on Cather Avenue had found the bodies of his wife, two baby daughters and mother-in-law. ”I believe my wife and two babies and mother-in-law are in heaven with God,” Yoon said at a news conference afterward. “Nobody expected such a horrible thing to happen, especially right here, our house.”
Yoon said he bore no ill will toward the Marine Corps pilot who ejected safely before the jet plunged into the neighborhood two miles west of the runway at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. “I pray for him not to suffer for this action,” Yoon said. “I know he’s one of our treasures for our country.”

“I don’t blame him. I don’t have any hard feelings. I know he did everything he could,” said Yoon, flanked by members of San Diego’s Korean community, relatives and members from the family’s church.

Authorities said four people died when the jet crashed into the Yoon family’s house while the pilot was trying to reach nearby Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. Another unoccupied house also was destroyed.
Yoon named the victims as his infant daughter Rachel, who was born less than two months ago; his 15-month-old daughter Grace; his wife, Young Mi Yoon, 36; and her 60-year-old mother, Suk Im Kim, who he said had come to the United States from Korea recently to help take care of the children.
Fighting back tears, he said of his daughters: “I cannot believe that they are not here right now.”
“I know there are many people who have experienced more terrible things,” Yoon said. “But, please, tell me how to do it. I don’t know what to do.”

Please, pray for this man.

You republicans are incredible. You don’t care about this man’s family. You’re just happy that he is not going after the asshole who ejected and allowed his fighter jet to kill his defenseless family. You care more about this fighter pilot than you do for this man who just lost everything. And this is why you will continue to lose elections. There needs to be a full investigation into this ? And if this pilot or someone else was responsible, they need to prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

It’s interesting and bizarre that you would interpret my deep respect for this grieving individual as happiness.
I made no comment about the pursuit of justice in this case, as it is reasonable to assume an investigation is underway.
In fact, there IS an investigation underway.
I agree “if this pilot or someone else was responsible, they need to prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
You characterize the pilot as an “asshole.” Do you know something about the investigation that the rest of us do not?
So glad you enjoyed my post.

Dear 1st Post:
YOU are incredible. How dare you bring partisanship into the outpouring of genuine horror and grief for this man and the admiration for his Godly nature?!

What a tremendous story of a genuine man who demonstrates true Christian values like forgiveness and understanding in such a tragic circumstances. What a conrast between this man and the person who posted the first comment – who was so quick to jump into the blame game and let their hatred gush out of their undisciplined mouth!
